The Supreme group is a closely held family Enterprise which began with a vision to make “Life healthy, fresh and tasty by providing innovative, unique and fresh food products”. Although The Supreme Group was officially established in 1980, the real story of Supreme began all the way back in the 1950s.
The Supreme group was founded by T.K. Jalaluddin Musaliar, and is an offshoot of one of the most reputed business empires of Kerala – ‘The TKM Group’ founded by his father A Thangal Kunju Musaliar, fondly known as TKM.
TKM was more than an industrialist was also an educationalist and a philanthropist. He made Kollam the hub of Cashew industry in India by setting his own Cashew empire in 1950’s, providing direct employment to more than 25,000 workers. Fortune magazine recognized him as the world’s biggest single employer then.
His contributions to the educational sector were even bigger. He started the first engineering college in the private sector in Kerala, in 1958. The educational trust founded by him now manages a network of institutions
The Supreme Group came into existence in 1980 by opening the first supermarket in Kollam with the vision to enter the food manufacturing, retailing and marketing industry along with trading in quality FMCG products. Today, the supermarket chain operates 8 leading stores in Kerala, and another 2 outlets are expected to open by 2018
Supreme Bakers has introduced some of the best known bakery products in the state. It’s variants in halwa, cookies, pastries and oven fresh baked products have always carried the stamp of quality and freshness. After 3 decades, it’s one of the most reputed brand names in bakery products and the highest valued brand for franchisee outlets in South Kerala. Supreme bakers today has 12 retail outlets in Kerala.
In the 1990’s, Supreme Group introduced the Nutrifud brand cakes which also has now become synonymous with gifting. Its rich home made taste, using the finest ingredients and made by state of the art machinery imported from Europe, made it sell like hot cakes in over 1000 outlets across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Nutrifud is expanding its product range to include the finest assortment of goodies to its portfolio.
In 2002, The Supreme Group ventured into the hospitality industry and introduced a new concept in eating out at Kollam and subsequently in 2009 in Trivandrum. Specialized master chefs, authentic dishes and refreshing ambiance help All Spice create a new outlook towards restaurants. It serves Continental, Chinese, North Indian, Arabic and Kerala cuisines.
